Palace of the Golden Horses : An Asian Extraordinaire

The Palace of the Golden Horses is a magnificent marvel that sits proudly at the shores of the brilliant 150-acre man made lake in Mines Resort City . The exterior of the hotel resembles a palace and both the exterior and interior has been decorated with horses of all shapes and sizes, thus living up to its name, Palace Of The Golden Horses . According to hotel staff, the golden horses that once stood at the front and back of the hotel were once gold and have now faded to black.
This award winning hotel has been graced by the presence of Queen Elizabeth, Kofi Annan, Nelson Mandela, Yasser Arafat and even Jackie Chan, making it a true palace. The Palace Of The Golden Horses prides itself in its spectacular architecture. It maintains a Moorish structural design with many domes, high ceilings and majestic columns that extend from floor to ceiling. Upon entering, one can't help but notice the magnificent painting of horses on the ceiling in the centre of the lobby. A similar painting can be found at the Grand Salon and right below it is a very impressive and massive rotating statue of horses. The interior of the hotel is just breath-taking and it exudes royalty, enormity and beauty.
Don't be surprised to find horses on pictures, ornaments, furniture, statues and even on the restroom sign. Even the toilets are not spared, with horse shoe prints being laid out all around the floors. Nonetheless, it gives the hotel an identity and personality, even if it is a slightly obsessive and disturbing one.
Many different choices of accommodation are available. The deluxe room is ideal for guests who are looking for the run-of-the-mill amenities. If you don't want to be forced to face the highway or the ongoing construction, make sure to request for a room with a slightly more pleasant view. Every room is equipped with broadband internet services. The deluxe rooms are considerably spacious but that wouldn't come as a surprise considering the sheer size of the compound. One can't help but feel in the presence of royalty when staying at this palace-like hotel. If the hotel itself isn't enough to make you feel like royalty, try their Ministers Suite or Head Of State Suite. These rooms have been designed for exactly just that. Ministers and Head's Of States from all over the world have stayed within these walls.
The only drawback to this amazing hotel is its location. It is located 20 minutes from Kuala Lumpur city centre so guests who prefer to be where the action is might be disappointed. To make up for its shortcomings, there are many other activities to partake in around the area. There's a shopping mall, a theme park, a man made lake and a golf course all within Mines Resort City .
SD's take on Palace Of The Golden Horses Despite being a decade old, the Palace Of The Golden Horses still possesses a design that doesn't fade with time. Its Moorish exterior and its blend of Persian and Islamic décor makes it fashionable even through to the 21st century. Its appeal comes from its architecture, décor, facilities, excellent service and its theme which gives the Palace Of The Golden Horses an unsurpassed beauty and elegance.

" HILL PARK - ANOTHER PRIDE OF MEDAN "

Another pride of Medan is Hill Park.. It is opened in 7th June (if I am not mistaken:) ).
I wish to visit this place, apa daya belum ada waktu... hehe..

When you look at these pictures, you will be surprised to hear that it is in Medan! Ini punya Medan, Bung!!!!

Well, actually it is about 1 hour drive from Medan, up the mountains of Sibolangit and half way to Brastagi highlands. This is going to be the next get a way from Medan. - “The Lost City” of Medan .

Targeting at Families and children, the new Theme Park is built on the existing residential resort - Green Hill where the developers will further develop more villas around the resort.

The location is actually quite attractive as it is not too far from Medan and since it is up in the mountains halfway to Brastagi, the air is quite cooling and refreshing. There is also a minimalist hotel under development near the theme park so that will be quite interesting get away for a weekend.

The main building of the theme park will house the video games from Amazone. (This building was once The Casino of Medan)

Roller Coasters, Ferris Wheel, Trains, Toon Towns and more…
Other theme parks include, The Mikey Holiday Hotel Theme Park at Brastagi, The Pantai Cermin Water Theme Park and under planning is the water theme park in Medan’s Royal Sumatra Residential Complex. Now there are more places to bring your family and children during school holidays and vacations.
Frenz,...Gue belum perna pigi.... Ajakin gue donk......

AUSTRALIA

When planning a trip to Australia, one should keep in mind that the seasons of Australia are opposite to those in the Northern Hemisphere. The warmest month is February, while the coldest is July. The Outback, a popular tourist destination, is a desert.
Australia is also known for its "bush," or trees and wilderness. To go hiking in Australia is to "bushwalk." Though a car is necessary to get around on one's own in the desert or bush areas of Australia, in most major cities of the continent, a car is not necessary. If one does choose to rent a car, however, driving is on the left side of the road.

One of the most popular tourist arrival spots on the continent is Sydney, and some of the tours available in and around Sydney from sightseeing-tours.net include the following:

1) Blue Mountains and Australian Wildlife - 9 hours in duration, from 46 pounds per person
2) Sydney Dinner Cruise - 2 1/2 hours in duration, from 42 pounds per person
3) Best of Sydney - 6 hours duration, from 71 pounds per person
4) Hunter Valley Wineries - 10 hours duration, from 58 pounds per person
5) Taronga Zoo including Sky Safari - at leisure, from 11 pounds per person
6) City Sightseeing Hop-On Hop-Off Tour of Sydney and Bondi - 24-hour ticket, from 13 pounds per person
7) Harbour Highlights Cruise - 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours duration, from 9 pounds per person
8) Sydney in a Day - 8 1/2 hours duration, from 44 pounds per person
9) Jenolan Caves and Blue Mountains - 10 hours duration, from 51 pounds per person10) Outback Snapshot - 3 days, 2 nights duration, 601 pounds per person

Another popular Australian tourist attraction might be Perth. Some tours in Perth include the following:
1) Perth Sightseeing Pass - leisure, 39 pounds per person
2) Rottnest Island Relax-Away - 2 days, 1 night duration, from 124 pounds per person
3) Perth's Famous Wine Cruise - 7 hours duration, from 50 pounds per person
4) Pinnacles, Kalbarri, Monkey Mia and Ningaloo Reef - 5 days, 4 nights duration, from 447 pounds per person
5) Aboriginal Heritage Tour - 3 hours duration, from 23 pounds per person

Some of the highlights of an Australian vacation might include trips to the Atherton Tablelands, Monkey Mia, Ayers Rock, or Cape York. The Atherton Tablelands in Queensland is an hour's drive from Cairns. It is a virtual mountain getaway and sites in the area include Millstream Falls, Australia's widest waterfall, and the Hypipamee National Park. The Atherton Tablelands are known for having postcard-like towns and villages.

One can visit the dolphins at Monkey Mia in Western Australia. Though a tour of this is mentioned above, a little more detail can be given here. Tourists to the area can stay at the Monkey Mia Dolphin Resort, which offers beachfront garden villas and overlooks the Dolphin Beach. Ayers Rock, also known by its Aboriginal name Uluru, is considered one of the wonders of the world and is located in Kata Tjuta National Park. At certain times of the day and at certain temperatures, this rock has been known to change color, from blue to red.

Ayers Rock is one of Australia's most popular tourist attractions. Run by the Aboriginal people, the area abounds with local culture.

Cape York, at the northeastern corner of Australia, contains some of the most rugged terrain in Australia and for that reason is a popular four-wheeler attraction.Cape York has very few inhabitants, and is one of the few wilderness areas that remain in Australia. Tourists might also want to try Bush Tucker, or native Australian foods. These include Quandongs (like a peach), Wattle Seeds (from the Wattle Bush), Witchetty or Witjuti Grubs (found in stems, trunks, and roots), Kakadu Plums (sweet plums), Bunya Bunya Nuts (like macadamia nuts), and Goanna (native lizard).
